Terms of Service

All orders are offers to purchase and are subject to acceptance and availability. Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. We may cancel and fully refund an order in cases of pricing error, suspected fraud, or inability to ship safely.

Batches are finite. Where a release sells out, we are not obliged to reproduce it. Numbered items, including the Founder's Collection, are allocated in the order received and are final sale.

Our products are prepared in a facility that handles fish, shellfish, milk, eggs, tree nuts, soy, wheat, mustard and sesame. Cross-contact cannot be entirely excluded. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, read the full ingredient panel on the jar before consuming and consult a medical professional where appropriate.

You are responsible for inspecting each jar on arrival. Do not consume a product whose seal is broken, whose lid is bulging, that is leaking, that smells or looks abnormal, or that has passed its best-by date — discard it and contact us. Refrigerate after opening and consume within the window printed on the label. Products shipped chilled must be refrigerated promptly on delivery.

Nothing on this site is medical or nutritional advice, and no product is intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.

Preservation Society memberships bill monthly in advance until cancelled. You may cancel at any time before the next billing date; cancellation stops future charges and does not refund the current period. Contents of each shipment are selected by us and may vary with season and availability.

Title and risk of loss pass on delivery to the carrier, except where our Shipping & Returns policy provides otherwise for perishable, cold-chain shipments. Delivery estimates are not guarantees.

Returns are governed by our Shipping & Returns policy, which forms part of these terms. Opened perishable goods cannot be returned for health and safety reasons.

Reviews you submit must be your own honest experience. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and excerpt them. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, or misrepresents a product.

The Aeternus name, seal, batch-stamp marks, photography and copy are our property and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission.

Except where prohibited by law, the site and products are provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
