The Ledger

What every batch will document

Aeternus has not released a batch yet. This page explains what the record will contain when it does — not a history of runs that have not happened.

There is no company history or sales record to show here yet: this is a pre-launch house. Rather than invent past runs, we are publishing the standard every future batch will be held to. Each released batch will carry its own record covering the fields below, attached to the product it belongs to.

Every item is marked Pantry or Cold Cellar. Pantry items are intended for ambient storage; Cold Cellar items ship chilled and must be refrigerated. Follow the instructions printed on the label of the item you receive.

The Record

Every batch, once released

01

Method

Which of our documented preservation methods was used — salt curing, smoking, fermenting, confit, canning, oil maturing, ember roasting or long braising — and the key parameters (time, temperature, medium).

02

Packing date

The date the batch was sealed, so shelf-life and readiness can be tracked from an honest starting point rather than an estimate.

03

Storage class

Whether the item is Pantry / shelf-stable or Cold Cellar / ships chilled, with the label instructions that govern it.

04

Producer

Named once a supplier relationship is verified and confirmed in writing. Until then this field will say so plainly rather than guess.
